There is a substantial amount of flax laying in the field that will not be harvested until spring of 2020. Exports in 2019-20 are forecast to be 450,000 tonnes which will reduce carry-out stocks to 30,000 tonnes going into the 2020-21 crop year. Looking ahead to the 2020-21 crop year the production of flax is expected to be up because of an increase in seeded acres and improved yield. For the report click here.
