Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada has released the January report for Canada: Outlook for Principal Field Crops. The report expects the 2017-18 carry out of stocks to fall by 0.18 Mt. The world supply of flaxseed is forecast to be down due to lower world production of 2.5Mt. Looking ahead to 2018-19, AAFC forecasts a lower seeded area in Canada of 400,000 hectares. Production is estimated to increase basesd on average yields.
