August 17, 2018 AAFC: Outlook for Principal Field Crops – August

Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada has released the August report for Canada: Outlook for Principal Field Crops. The report expects the 2017-18 carry out of stocks to fall to 170,000 tonnes. Looking ahead to the 2018-19 crop year, the seeded area is estimated to be down to 353,000 hectares. Production is also estimated to decrease to 545,000 tonnes basesd on average yields. Exports in 2018-19 are expected to reach 600,000 tonnes which will reduce carry-out stocks to 85,000 tonnes going into the 2019-20 crop year. For the report click here.
