Flax and Kale Green Smoothie Bowls

This blend of banana, ground flaxseed, dates, kale and almonds is sweet, healthy and full of fibre!
Ingredients:
- 1 banana
- 1 Tbsp (15 mL) almond butter
- 2 Tbsp (30 mL) ground flaxseed
- 1 cup (250 mL) kale, chopped
- 2 dates, pitted
- 1 cup (250 mL) milk
- Toppings:
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) sliced almond
- 2 date, chopped
- 2 Tbsp (30 mL) ground flaxseed
Instructions:
- In a blender, combine banana, almond butter, ground flaxseed, kale, dates and milk. Cover and blend until smooth.
- Pour smoothie into two bowls and top with almonds, dates and ground flaxseed. Serve.
- Serving: 2 smoothie bowls.
- Serving size: 1 1/4 cup (310 mL) smoothie plus toppings. Each serving contains 2 Tbsp (30 mL) of flax.
Serving Size: 2 smoothie bowls.
